J’ai suivi un cours de trois semaines avec beaucoup de plaisir. Les leçons sont très bien organisées, les enseignants sont excellents, savent motiver les élèves et mettent à l’aise dès le début. Les sujets abordés sont intéressants et actuels. La méthode d’enseignement est vraiment efficace. Je le recommande vivement !
Really good experience overall. Both of my teachers were great and patient. Classes were interactive. The focus on only speaking in French in classes was really good. Good opportunity to network with more people. ILA staff are really friendly and responsive. Combination of host family and studying was great. Really enjoyed the tour on Monday (also nice that it was free). Really happy with this experience, thank you ILA!!
A place to go everyday with a smile, our class appreciated a lot the performance of our teacher. het knows his metier, carefully giving individual attention, humouristic, a true asset of ILA. The feeling of being welcome, this adds someting extra that absolutely makes the difference. It starts when you enter, say Bonjour and the staff replies likewise.

I stayed one week and had the 50+ course. It was wonderful, I learned a lot and the course motivatie me to learn more French.
This was a great class. The teacher customized the lessons according to the interests of the students. The in-class work and the homework were varied and contributed to learning. The activities were great. I loved the small class sizes and being in a class with others who had similar interests and who were at the same level in French.
A great stay overall—comfortable, welcoming environment with excellent classes and supportive teachers. Loved coming back for a second time :)
I attended ILA last year for 2 weeks and again this year for 4 weeks. I hope I can come again next year. I highly recommend the school.

I had an amazing time with my host family and at ILA. I made so many new connections and learned so much about French language and culture, as well as about myself. I really like the organization and opportunities provided by ILA to improve my French language skills and cultural knowledge.
Die Zeit verging viel zu schnell und es hätte für uns noch so viel zu entdecken gegeben. Aber sei es so, vielleicht kommen wir wiedereinmal nach Montpellier. Montpellier hat mir extrem gefallen, die Mischung zwischen alt und neu, mit dem riesigen kulturellen Angebot und der spannenden Architektur, die Schule und der Austausch mit andern Schülern.
Ich habe die 2 Wochen sehr genossen, habe viel gelernt, motivierte und gut Lehrer gehabt und viele interessante Bekanntschaften gemacht. Gerne werde ich die Schule weiter empfehlen. Ich habe schon mehrere Sprachaufenthalte gemacht auch in anderen Sprachen. Ila ist für mich eine der besten Schulen bis jetzt. Das Programm und der Unterricht ist sehr gut Srukturriert und es gibt einen guten Aufbau. Der Unterricht ist sehr abwechslungsreich.
It was great. Miss Leticia was very welcoming and prepared very delicious meals. At school, we did numerous activities that were both fun and educational.
Amazing and life-changing. Dorian is an excellent professor: he consistently expresses enthusiasm about new learning topics and makes sure to adjust to specific student's goals and learning levels. He is a fantastic teacher and cares about the learning of his students- consistently employing versatile learning formats to engage his classroom.
An extremely valuable experience. The course was engaging and clear to follow, activities were well structured and innovative. I feel that my French has improved massively since my course, especially my oral skills. The people in ILA were amazing too - I loved meeting students of all nationalities and learning more about other cultures. The ILA staff were patient and welcoming, and I had an outstanding teacher.

Ich war zwei Wochen am ILA, eine Woche Bildungsurlaub, also Intensivkurs, eine Woche nur Vormittagsunterricht mit Kochkurs an zwei Abenden. Die Klassen waren gut zusammengesetzt. Die beiden Wochen haben meine Sprachkenntnisse spürbar verbessert. Für meine Bedürfnisse, war der Unterricht bei Laure perfekt. Viel Konversation. Sie konnte sehr gut auf die Bedürfnisse der verschiedenen Kursteilnehmer eingehen. Ihre mitreissende Art und ihr Humor hat den Unterricht wie im Flug vergehen lassen.
A wonderfully stimulating and enjoyable time. I learned a lot, not just French. The opportunity to interact with people from different cultures is a learning experience in and of itself. I was here last year and I enjoyed it just as much as last year. Thank you. I would love to come back again!! I liked the organization of the classes and access to the padlet. I loved all the varied activities in class and to be able to interact with students from around the world. I enjoyed the different teaching styles from the different teachers. I loved my stay with ILA and will certainly come back and recommend the school to my employer. I hope to establish a program for the students at my college so they can come to Montpellier to take classes with ILA I learned a lot during my stay and enjoyed it immensely. The course is very good and various. I like the 50+ group very much. I have met many nice people all over the world. I have learned a lot. The school is in the center of Montpellier . I like that very much. I was here for the second time and I enjoyed it very much. I have made progress with my French language.
Workers at ILA were very kind and helpful. The language course was done in a professional but also a fun way that support growth. Professors were energetic and they loved to share their knowlege. Student from all over were simply wonderful people.
Today I am exhausted but exhilarated. I have learned a lot and have enjoyed every minute. I hope to come back next year. Thank you to Odile and the reception staff.
Ich konnte den vollständigen C1 Zyklus abschliessen und habe viel dazugelernt. Ich wurde selbst innerhalb des C1 Niveau zusätzlich gefördert, wenn gewisse Unterrichtsmaterialien zu einfach waren. Die Grösse der Schule und dementsprechend die Vielseitigkeit sowie die Anzahl der Sprachstudierenden. Es fand eine gute Durchmischung statt und man konnte so viel voneinander lernen. Der Intensivkurs mir Marie P. war ein besonderes Highlight für mich.
J’ai absolument adoré mon séjour à Montpellier et cela grâce à ILA, c’était vraiment une plaisir et l’école va tellement me manquer. J’ai vraiment apprécié apprendre la langue dans un environnement où je me sentais très à l’aise grâce aux bons professeurs et les petites classes.
This was a return visit for me to ILA and Montpellier (says it all!) and, as before, I felt I both learned a lot and pushed myself to use and expand my French language skills, and also had a great holiday in a beautiful and friendly city.
I really liked my teacher Angélique, her energy a her methods of teaching. It was very intensive and helpful. Everybody at school was very nice and kind. It was a great experience. I would love to come again.

She assessed my level and her teachIng helped me to improve my knowledge and understanding of French. Also, the notes she gave me were amazing. 2 wonderful weeks in a foreign city with the chance of improving a language, meeting new people and challenging your self. I liked the fresh breeze that Montpellier has....I had the opportunity to settle down, breathe and focus on my studies...i made new friends, improved my french and ate delicious food.
I really developed my French during this one week stay, far above my expectations and I have been given the tools to further develop my French back at home. The course was tailor-made to my needs and the teachers quickly identified my weaknesses and spent time adapting the course to adress my grammatical issues. The teachers were very pedagogic and knew how to explain complicated grammar in a simple way, and kept the course material varied and interesting.
3 tolle, lehrreiche und erholsame Wochen in Montpellier voller neuer Freundschaften, inspirierender Gespräche und interkulturellem Austausch. Mir hat sehr viel sehr gut gefallen; ich mochte die Stadt, ihre Angebote und ihre Architektur, habe mich sowohl in der Gastfamilie als auch bei meinen neu gefundenen Freunden sehr wohl gefühlt und fand auch die Sprachschule sehr gut. Am allerbesten hat mir der gemeinsame Austausch und die Atmosphäre generell gefallen.
C'etait très bien ici à Montpellier. J'ai appris beaucoup et l'atmosphère était très bien. Tout était bon :) Les professeurs Gwen et Dorian sont très bons et très sympas.
Ich bin dankbar, dass ich nach 2 Wochen, wie von mir gewünscht, das Niveau wechseln durfte. Die Unterrichtsstunden vergingen sehr schnell, ein Zeichen, dass sie spannend und lehrreich waren, von mir aber auch Einsatz gefordert haben. Das hat mir sehr gefallen. Der Kontakt mit Personen jeden Alters und aus verschiedensten Ländern war sehr unterhaltsam und spannend. Die Lehrerinnen waren sehr motiviert.
I had a wonderful two weeks. Both my morning and afternoon classes were wonderful but Maguelonne was exceptional. I learned so much, not the least of which was to dare to speak and risk being wrong because it was ok and part of the process. She is truly a gifted teacher. I did not want my time with her to end. I also loved Odile and I am sorry that my time with her was limited to just 3 days. All of my classes were interesting and challenging and a lot of fun. I was afraid that I could be the only mature student but I was not and the mix of young and older students was a big part of the success of my two weeks at ILA. I hope to return.
I had a marvellous time. I am especially grateful for my standard course teacher, Mathilde, whom I found very amiable, encouraging, motivating and gentle at the same time. She made a real effort to show an interest in each student, which I suppose must be difficult since there are new students in the group every week. Please let her know I said that :)
Mein Aufenthalt in Montpellier war super. Die Schuel ist super und die Lehrer könn sehr gut erklären und einen Motivieren weiter zu machen. Der Unterricht ist vielfältig gestaltet.
Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass selbst ein nur einwöchiger Standardkurs meine Französischkenntnisse so verbessern würde.
J’ai séjourné à Montpellier et étudié à ILA pendant 5 semaines. C’était une très bonne expérience. Mes profs étaient gentiles et compétentes, et les cours étaient toujours amusants ! Il y a beaucoup à faire à Montpellier et vers la ville. J’ai fait de la plongée et de la randonée par exemple. Je n’ai fait pas via ferrata à cause de la pluie - la prochaine fois ! Merci ILA ❤️

I had an awesome time in class and at the homestay. I learned a lot thanks to the motivated teacher and the rather small class.
Die drei Wochen in Montpellier waren sehr schön aber auch sehr voll. Der Sprachkurs am Vormittag hat dabei den Tagen eine gute Struktur gegeben. Nachmittags haben wir dann als Gruppe viel erlebt. Wir haben die Stadt erkundigt, Museen besichtigt, waren Wandern und am Meer und auch mal Bouldern. Am Abend, nach den unterhaltsamen Essen in der Gastfamilie, haben wir viele coole Bars ausprobiert, wobei mir vor allem die "Spiele-Bars" mit verschiedenen Brett- und Kartenspielen und die Lokale mit Life Musik sehr gut gefallen haben. Ich habe in der Zeit auch viele Spezialitäten der französische Küche (zumindest die vegetarischen) probiert - besonders Pain au Chocolat, Croissant aux Amandes und Crepes haben es mir dabei angetan! Insgesamt bin ich sehr froh darüber, am Sprachkurs der ILA teilgenommen zu haben.
Tout le sejour était und bonne experience. Le cours m‘a aidé beaucoup ameliorer mon français. Le sejour chez und famille français était très agréable et j‘ai appris beaucoup. Montpellier est une ville trop belle, il y ont plusiers restaurants et cafés. On peut aussi faire des petites virées par exemple à Sète, Carcassone ou Nîmes, qui ne sont pas trop loin.
Mein zweiwöchiger Aufenthalt in Montpellier gestaltete sich dank Ila abwechslungsreich. Ich durfte nicht nur vormittags meine Französischkenntnisse verbessern, sondern am Nachmittag auch die Stadt und Umgebung kennenlernen sowie in die französische Kultur eintauchen.
Ich war positiv überrascht: Nette Gruppe von 10 Personen, internationale Mischung, Lerninhalte gut aufgebaut, 4 Stunden am Tag genau richtiges Pensum. Netter Lehrer und freundlicher Umgangston in der Schule. Gut organisiertes (freiwilliges) Freizeitprogramm mit interessanten Zielen und Inhalten. Ich habe mich sprachlich weiterentwickelt und kulturell einiges dazu gelernt. Für mich war Senior 50+ genau die richtige Entscheidung, um Land und Sprache besser kennenzulernen.

I had a great experience at ILA in Montpellier as an A2 level student. The school has a welcoming atmosphere, and the teacher was both professional and supportive (and quite humorous as well!), tailoring lessons to our needs. The classes were engaging and interactive, which helped me improve my speaking, listening, and grammar skills. J‘ai parlé en français tous le temps. J‘ai rencontré des gens très sympa. Montpellier est une ville très belle avec des restaurant très bons et des citoyens très gentils. J‘ai visité un concert de Jazz chez la brasserie le Dôme. J‘ai passée des temps merveilleuses et je reviendrai.

Dans l'ensemble, mon séjour linguistique a été bon. Je me suis beaucoup amusé et j'ai rencontré de nouvelles personnes formidables. J'ai passé un très bon moment à Montpellier. Le personnel était très sympathique et m'a toujours aidé lorsque j'avais des questions ou que j'avais besoin de quelque chose. Brunelle a été un très bon professeur. nous avons eu beaucoup d'occasions de parler et elle m'a fait me sentir très à l'aise dans sa classe.
I really loved my time spent here, it was an absolute joy and I will truly cherish the 3 weeks I spent here forever! The teachers were so warm and really supported me on my journey, and I looked forward to going to school each morning!! Classes were very engaging and felt like the perfect amount of challenging (I was in B2). Very good, better way of learning French and a perfect city to do this type of studies. I was from the beginning very welcomed by the host family and ILA and my stay just simple very good and I learned a lot.
I stayed for 4 weeks. I started my first lesson in B1 but after one day went back to A2. I remained here for the rest of the stay and happy i did. I love my teacher, she did an amazing job at motivating me and the other students to learn french. Also my host mom was the most amazing person ever.

All in all excellent follow-up to our last course in 2021. Conversations and debates. Examples for PO and why the structure is as it is. Forced use of verb tenses and use of familiar expressions and slang. Time spent on prepositions.
J'aimais bien les activités, les cours, la famille d'accueil. Les profs étaient super sympas, et ils étaient faciles de comprendre. Ils nous ont donné les exemples très clairs et facile à comprendre. Les discussions pendent les cours á été engagent en plus.
I really liked the stay in general. My host family was really nice and could cool really well. The lessons helped me to improve my french a lot. You don’t get overwhelmed by grammar. They really explained it well and the excersises were really on my level.

Ça ce été trés bien pour moi, parce que je pu evolue et apprendre beaucup sur different sujet. J'ai pris l'intenssíf cours aussi, qui vraiment m'aidais avoir plus vocabulaire. Si je peu recommender ça a qlqn, je recommanderais pour faire les deux. C'été vraiment important por mon croissance lá.
Fun, pleasant, educational. Roxane was very helpful and patient. Her classes were full of new material and plenty of repeats which helped to maintain new material. She has great sense of humor too. If I am back for the third time ;-) I keep fingers crossed to be back in her class. The cooking course was run efficiently, which with large classes was a challenge. Food was interesting, various and tasty. The facility was nice and clean. Explanation was clear and on point. I strongly recommend this course.
Good value. The teachers are enthusiastic, the supporting materials are thorough, and the in-class activities are challenging, fun and interesting. The program is well organized. In preparing to attend the school, it was easy to communicate with the school. All my questions were answered promptly.
Ich habe einen Vormittagskurs besucht. Die Nachmittage verbrachte ich mit der Entdeckung von Montpellier, teilweise war ich dabei mit anderen Schülerinnen unterwegs. Ich wohnte bei einem französischen Paar, gleichzeitig war dort ein Schüler aus Schottland untergebracht. Die Unterhaltungen am Esstisch habe ich sehr geschätzt, die beiden nahmen mich auch zu einem geselligen Treffen in ihrem Ort mit.
I had a very positive experience at ILA and I feel I have achieved my objective of becoming better at expressing myself in French. I really liked that French was used for everything - even extracurricular activitities and talks with fellow students during breaks. That was great!

I got what I came for - to improve my language. And I met a bunch of new people. We had a good time together. The ambience was excellent. I highly recommend the teacher Maguelonne. She is very inspiring, very dedicated, very observant on each individual student, very lively. She has a good way of explaining each subject to us, she is a VERY good teacher. And on top of that she is very kind.

Location of the accomodation was perfect. Lessons were excellent, and the staff was very friendly. It was perfect, i really enjoyed it.
It was an incredibly good experience, I have learned a lot while having fun and I would definitely recommend it! The teachers, the structure of the classes and the lessons were magnifique! I especially liked how the lessons built on one another and how immediately integrated I felt despite the members of the class starting all at different times.

I am very happy with everything - UN GRAND MERCI! I might come again in the future who knows.
I set out to improve my French as much as possible in the time available, which I definitely achieved. The accomodation was really good, I met some lovely people and Montpellier is a gem.
