Ein toller Aufenthalt mit einer guten Mischung aus Lernen und Freizeitprogramm, bei dem man das Gelernte direkt umsetzen konnte. Die Nähe zum Zentrum, die gemeinsamen Ausflüge, die zusätzlichen Angebote (z.B. der Kochkurs). Ich habe nette Menschen aus verschiedensten Ländern kennengelernt. Es war immer jemand an der Rezeption, um Unterstützung zu geben, sehr hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter.
Mein Aufenthalt war extrem toll! Ich fühlte mich sehr wohl in meiner Gastfamilie umd fand mich auch in der Stadt gut zurecht. Die Schule war ebenso sehr untersützend, ich konnte sehr viel lernen und für die Zukunft mitnehmen.
Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, nicht nur um Französisch zu lernen, sondern auch um neue Freundschaften zu knüpfen.
The town was very friendly, the homestay family was so lovely, as was everyone in the cooking and french course. The teacher was so nice and so was everyone in the class. amazing experience!

The entire stay was incredible and I put that down to the incredible teacher we had, and the great mix of people in my class. We were all impressed by the young students in the class that chose to hang with those of us there to learn in retirement. A very good mix. This is my second French learning course (AIX in 2024). The teaching style and the teacher (Marine) was much better in MP. Including grammar exercises was very important for me and my style of learning. The people in my class were a good mix of level understanding, ages, and countries.
Hervorragender Unterricht, ich habe viel gelernt. Man fühlt sich wohl und ist motiviert französisch zu sprechen. Der Unterricht ist kurzweilig und macht Spaß. Komplexe Themen wie das Subjonctif wir in verträglichen Umfang vermittelt, sodass der Spaß am Lernen nicht verloren geht. Den Aufenthalt habe ich Privat organisiert. Montpellier ist eine wundervolle Stadt.
Mon séjour était magnifique. Ma famille d'accueil et mes enseignants étaient très gentils. Le matériel utilisé en classe était facile à comprendre et je ne me suis jamais ennuyée. C'était la deuxième fois que je venais à ILA et je reviendrai certainement.
It was an intense two weeks. I did not have very much experience of conversing with people and that was quite hard for me at the start. However I really appreciated the "immersion" in French and felt that I benefitted from that a lot. I really enjoyed meeting other students from different countries. The small class size was great too. The activities really added to my experience. A Fantastic experience!! I would love to be able to come every year...
The school and the teachers are very professional - and friendly. The course layout was good. I also appreciate that there were organized activities during the afternoons and the first Saturday. I spent a wonderful week at Montpellier and at ILA. It was super!

Les cours étaient de grande qualité, avec des professeurs très motivés et des petits groupes d’élèves, ce qui favorisait un apprentissage personnalisé. Je recommande vivement cette expérience.

I had so much fun here, it's been one of the best vacations I've had in a long time because I was productive with something that I'm passionate about, but I also got to spend time out of school with friends. I liked pretty much everything, the classroom size, the fact that most kids were around my age, the actives varied, the teachers, and Brunelle and Roxane made me want to actually learn French.
Wir waren zum 3. Mal für eine Woche in Montpellier. Eine wunderschöne Stadt mit interessanten historischen Gebäuden/ Geschichte. Man kann in das französische Leben auf vielfältige Art eintauchen. Die Stadt Montpellier bietet vielfältige Möglichkeiten, das französische Leben kennenzulernen. Das Institut ist mitten in der Stadt. Von dort aus findet man schnell zu Museen, Geschäften, Restaurants, einem Park.
Going into ILA I did. It know what to expect. Once getting passed the idea that only French is spoken in the classroom, the A1 teachers methodically use students words and experiences as building blocks to help them form usage of the French language. There is a lot of content so students need to put the work into learning and practicing so as not to fall behind.
Le cours a étè magnifique et, surtout vous avez la chance dávoir deux professeurs qui non seulement sont sympathiques. mais que possèdent en plus un vrai talent pour enseigner de manière agrèable et amusante. Mille mercis a Manon et à Romain pour leur don dénseigner cette belle langue et ,sourtout , pour avoir fait de ces cours une experience inoubliable. Une experience magnifique.

My friend Nicole and I organized our own Airbnb stay, it was wonderful. We took a quick 15 minute tram to school every day from the Castelnau de lez area. Loved the students, the teachers, friendly reception, and quick responses from emails. I appreciate the guarantee we were given of getting into morning classes. I loved our teacher! I also really love that the school (both locations) are very central in Montpellier.

C’était la deuxième fois que je venais à l’école ILA. Cette fois, je suis restée seulement une semaine. J’ai suivi le cours standard le matin et j’ai aussi eu trois cours particuliers l’après-midi. J’ai participé à une activité : un atelier de pâtisserie, que j’ai beaucoup aimé. Comme la première fois, l’ambiance à l’école était très agréable et les cours étaient bien organisés. Ce que j’ai le plus aimé, c’est l’ambiance dans l’école. Les professeurs sont très motivants et les cours sont intéressants. J’ai beaucoup aimé la méthode d’enseignement. Les cours sont clairs, dynamiques et bien adaptés à mon niveau. J’ai apprécié qu’on parle beaucoup en classe. Cela m’a aidé à être plus à l’aise à l’oral. Ce que j’ai préféré, c’est de rencontrer des étudiants de différents pays et de pratiquer le français avec eux.

Really good experience overall. Both of my teachers were great and patient. Classes were interactive. The focus on only speaking in French in classes was really good. Good opportunity to network with more people. ILA staff are really friendly and responsive. Combination of host family and studying was great. A place to go everyday with a smile, our class appreciated a lot the performance of our teacher. het knows his metier, carefully giving individual attention, humouristic, a true asset of ILA. The feeling of being welcome, this adds someting extra that absolutely makes the difference. It starts when you enter, say Bonjour and the staff replies likewise.

I stayed one week and had the 50+ course. It was wonderful, I learned a lot and the course motivatie me to learn more French.
This was a great class. The teacher customized the lessons according to the interests of the students. The in-class work and the homework were varied and contributed to learning. The activities were great. I loved the small class sizes and being in a class with others who had similar interests and who were at the same level in French.

Montpellier hat mir extrem gefallen, die Mischung zwischen alt und neu, mit dem riesigen kulturellen Angebot und der spannenden Architektur, die Schule und der Austausch mit andern Schülern.
Ich habe die 2 Wochen sehr genossen, habe viel gelernt, motivierte und gut Lehrer gehabt und viele interessante Bekanntschaften gemacht. Gerne werde ich die Schule weiter empfehlen. Ich habe schon mehrere Sprachaufenthalte gemacht auch in anderen Sprachen. Ila ist für mich eine der besten Schulen bis jetzt. Das Programm und der Unterricht ist sehr gut Srukturriert und es gibt einen guten Aufbau. Der Unterricht ist sehr abwechslungsreich.

Amazing and life-changing. Dorian is an excellent professor: he consistently expresses enthusiasm about new learning topics and makes sure to adjust to specific student's goals and learning levels. He is a fantastic teacher and cares about the learning of his students- consistently employing versatile learning formats to engage his classroom.
An extremely valuable experience. The course was engaging and clear to follow, activities were well structured and innovative. I feel that my French has improved massively since my course, especially my oral skills. The people in ILA were amazing too - I loved meeting students of all nationalities and learning more about other cultures. The ILA staff were patient and welcoming, and I had an outstanding teacher.

Sie konnte sehr gut auf die Bedürfnisse der verschiedenen Kursteilnehmer eingehen. Ihre mitreissende Art und ihr Humor hat den Unterricht wie im Flug vergehen lassen.
A wonderfully stimulating and enjoyable time. I learned a lot, not just French. The opportunity to interact with people from different cultures is a learning experience in and of itself. The course is very good and various. I like the 50+ group very much. I have met many nice people all over the world. I have learned a lot. The school is in the center of Montpellier . I like that very much. I was here for the second time and I enjoyed it very much. I have made progress with my French language.
Workers at ILA were very kind and helpful. The language course was done in a professional but also a fun way that support growth. Professors were energetic and they loved to share their knowlege. Student from all over were simply wonderful people.

Ich konnte den vollständigen C1 Zyklus abschliessen und habe viel dazugelernt. Ich wurde selbst innerhalb des C1 Niveau zusätzlich gefördert, wenn gewisse Unterrichtsmaterialien zu einfach waren. Die Grösse der Schule und dementsprechend die Vielseitigkeit sowie die Anzahl der Sprachstudierenden. Es fand eine gute Durchmischung statt und man konnte so viel voneinander lernen. Der Intensivkurs mir Marie P. war ein besonderes Highlight für mich.
J’ai absolument adoré mon séjour à Montpellier et cela grâce à ILA, c’était vraiment une plaisir et l’école va tellement me manquer. J’ai vraiment apprécié apprendre la langue dans un environnement où je me sentais très à l’aise grâce aux bons professeurs et les petites classes.

2 wonderful weeks in a foreign city with the chance of improving a language, meeting new people and challenging your self. I liked the fresh breeze that Montpellier has....I had the opportunity to settle down, breathe and focus on my studies...i made new friends, improved my french and ate delicious food.
I really developed my French during this one week stay, far above my expectations and I have been given the tools to further develop my French back at home. The course was tailor-made to my needs and the teachers quickly identified my weaknesses and spent time adapting the course to adress my grammatical issues. The teachers were very pedagogic and knew how to explain complicated grammar in a simple way, and kept the course material varied and interesting.
3 tolle, lehrreiche und erholsame Wochen in Montpellier voller neuer Freundschaften, inspirierender Gespräche und interkulturellem Austausch. Mir hat sehr viel sehr gut gefallen; ich mochte die Stadt, ihre Angebote und ihre Architektur, habe mich sowohl in der Gastfamilie als auch bei meinen neu gefundenen Freunden sehr wohl gefühlt und fand auch die Sprachschule sehr gut. Am allerbesten hat mir der gemeinsame Austausch und die Atmosphäre generell gefallen.

Ich bin dankbar, dass ich nach 2 Wochen, wie von mir gewünscht, das Niveau wechseln durfte. Die Unterrichtsstunden vergingen sehr schnell, ein Zeichen, dass sie spannend und lehrreich waren, von mir aber auch Einsatz gefordert haben. Das hat mir sehr gefallen. Der Kontakt mit Personen jeden Alters und aus verschiedensten Ländern war sehr unterhaltsam und spannend. Die Lehrerinnen waren sehr motiviert.
I had a wonderful two weeks. Both my morning and afternoon classes were wonderful but Maguelonne was exceptional. I learned so much, not the least of which was to dare to speak and risk being wrong because it was ok and part of the process. She is truly a gifted teacher. I did not want my time with her to end. I also loved Odile and I am sorry that my time with her was limited to just 3 days. All of my classes were interesting and challenging and a lot of fun. I was afraid that I could be the only mature student but I was not and the mix of young and older students was a big part of the success of my two weeks at ILA. I hope to return.
I had a marvellous time. I am especially grateful for my standard course teacher, Mathilde, whom I found very amiable, encouraging, motivating and gentle at the same time. She made a real effort to show an interest in each student, which I suppose must be difficult since there are new students in the group every week. Please let her know I said that :)

J’ai séjourné à Montpellier et étudié à ILA pendant 5 semaines. C’était une très bonne expérience. Mes profs étaient gentiles et compétentes, et les cours étaient toujours amusants ! Il y a beaucoup à faire à Montpellier et vers la ville. J’ai fait de la plongée et de la randonée par exemple. Je n’ai fait pas via ferrata à cause de la pluie - la prochaine fois ! Merci ILA ❤️

I had an awesome time in class and at the homestay. I learned a lot thanks to the motivated teacher and the rather small class.
Die drei Wochen in Montpellier waren sehr schön aber auch sehr voll. Der Sprachkurs am Vormittag hat dabei den Tagen eine gute Struktur gegeben. Nachmittags haben wir dann als Gruppe viel erlebt. Wir haben die Stadt erkundigt, Museen besichtigt, waren Wandern und am Meer und auch mal Bouldern. Am Abend, nach den unterhaltsamen Essen in der Gastfamilie, haben wir viele coole Bars ausprobiert, wobei mir vor allem die "Spiele-Bars" mit verschiedenen Brett- und Kartenspielen und die Lokale mit Life Musik sehr gut gefallen haben. Ich habe in der Zeit auch viele Spezialitäten der französische Küche (zumindest die vegetarischen) probiert - besonders Pain au Chocolat, Croissant aux Amandes und Crepes haben es mir dabei angetan! Insgesamt bin ich sehr froh darüber, am Sprachkurs der ILA teilgenommen zu haben.
Tout le sejour était und bonne experience. Le cours m‘a aidé beaucoup ameliorer mon français. Le sejour chez und famille français était très agréable et j‘ai appris beaucoup. Montpellier est une ville trop belle, il y ont plusiers restaurants et cafés. On peut aussi faire des petites virées par exemple à Sète, Carcassone ou Nîmes, qui ne sont pas trop loin.
Mein zweiwöchiger Aufenthalt in Montpellier gestaltete sich dank Ila abwechslungsreich. Ich durfte nicht nur vormittags meine Französischkenntnisse verbessern, sondern am Nachmittag auch die Stadt und Umgebung kennenlernen sowie in die französische Kultur eintauchen.
Ich war positiv überrascht: Nette Gruppe von 10 Personen, internationale Mischung, Lerninhalte gut aufgebaut, 4 Stunden am Tag genau richtiges Pensum. Netter Lehrer und freundlicher Umgangston in der Schule. Gut organisiertes (freiwilliges) Freizeitprogramm mit interessanten Zielen und Inhalten. Ich habe mich sprachlich weiterentwickelt und kulturell einiges dazu gelernt. Für mich war Senior 50+ genau die richtige Entscheidung, um Land und Sprache besser kennenzulernen.

I had a great experience at ILA in Montpellier as an A2 level student. The school has a welcoming atmosphere, and the teacher was both professional and supportive (and quite humorous as well!), tailoring lessons to our needs. The classes were engaging and interactive, which helped me improve my speaking, listening, and grammar skills. Dans l'ensemble, mon séjour linguistique a été bon. Je me suis beaucoup amusé et j'ai rencontré de nouvelles personnes formidables. J'ai passé un très bon moment à Montpellier. Le personnel était très sympathique et m'a toujours aidé lorsque j'avais des questions ou que j'avais besoin de quelque chose. Brunelle a été un très bon professeur. nous avons eu beaucoup d'occasions de parler et elle m'a fait me sentir très à l'aise dans sa classe.
I really loved my time spent here, it was an absolute joy and I will truly cherish the 3 weeks I spent here forever! The teachers were so warm and really supported me on my journey, and I looked forward to going to school each morning!! Classes were very engaging and felt like the perfect amount of challenging (I was in B2). Everything excellent! The organization, your administrative team etc but I am specially thankful for the job of our teacher (Sarah) and for my great host (Asmaa). Sara is an excellent teacher. My level of French rised up in the week I had classes with her. She makes the classes fun and interesting. On top of that she provided helpful insights about Montpellier. Thanks so much, Sara! Thank you Asmaa for making me feel like at home! She is helpul, caring and accomodating...
